Russell Wilson

Local ceramic artist Russell Wilson has over recent years become a firm favourite with many collectors from all over the UK who travel to Opus to collect pieces of his highly original work. Russell's animal forms are not meant to be realistic - he aims to stylise and simplify forms to try to convey character and expression.

Any new work is always eagerly anticipated, Russell usually producing at least two new pieces each year. 2012 has seen the introduction of his beautiful foxes and his new windswept tree with barn owl. Russells' exhibition of framed work was a great success in April, with only two pieces remaining.
